That is so RICH coming from an Englishman. Lennox Lewis was a CANADIAN. Owen Hargreaves - Canadian. Half your cricket team and football team is non-British as well. You serious
You're a total idiot. I don't follow cricket, but Owen hargeaves hasn't played for England for years. I'd like you to name from the England squad anyone who is a foreign national using a relatives nationality to get into the squad. "half" hahaha
**** me the racist knobjockey from canada has resurfaced in a thread about a british pakistani. now theres a suprise have you or yours had a bad life in england, been called a few names, get over it dickweed, everyone gets called names, gingers more so than any other colour or creed, don't see them crying every 2 minutes:| the ginger twats:hey as for khan, who gives a ****,he aint good enough to fight for england, let him fight for pakistan:thumbsup
Ultimately its individuals competing against each other. Nationality really doesn't have anything to do with it. If Khan wins in his weight class it doesn't mean Pakistan are the best boxing nation in the Commonwealth at that weight class.
How old is he anyway? I can't find any real information online. Is he, though? It says he was born in England to Jamaican-Born parents. Then moves to Canada for what seems like, no more than 10 years, plus it was when he was 12 and when he turned Pro he came to England. Sure, he represented Canada in the Olympics but I don't really know if he classifies primarily as a Canadian. Infact, I'd probably rank him Jamaican over Canadian, but that's me.
i think he's turning pro straight after the commonwealths. doubt he'll get into the GB squad unless he pulls an absolute blinder at these games
Same here. I can understand the argument that Lewis is Jamacian not British but not the one that says he's Canadian.
Interesting that no one has mentioned the three English guys that are fighting for Jamacia! Just Khan bashing! Or 'British' champions Derek Chisora and Shinny Bayaar! To listen to some of your ****ers you would think we were in Nazi Germany! Get a grip. GO HAROON IQBAL!
maybe because he had a Canadian passport, lived his formative years in Canada, learn to box in Canada, fought, represented and won the Olympics for Canada, used to wear the Maple Leaf on his shorts - until he realised that he once ate some jellied eels down the Eastend and could cash in by saying he was a Brit! Apart from that I cant get my head round it! :good
Well done wise guy!! He wasn't born in Canada, his parents wern't born in Canada. He fought for Canada because he happened to live there at the time, thats all. That doesn't make him Canadian. If you want to get into this type of argument (yet again!) I suggest you search out the "usual suspects" on here who seem fascinated by the debate over what constitutes being "Irish".
you dont get it? your posts are just drivel ,you seem to have some hang up on my nationality .:huh mybe if you improved on your content folk might not be so hard on you stewart:hi:
He couldn't make it to the UK team, so he's representing Pakistan. Common sense, nothing unpatriotic about it.
Actually I think you are missing my point, I am actually agreeing with you - the location of your birth isnt necessarily a determining factor of ones nationality. Its never as straightforward as that - hence the reason I think that Nutjobs posts are not just ******ed on a sporting but a personal level
