Did Ann Wolfe ruin James Kirkland or was he a good influence?

    I know Ann was working Kirkland like a dog in training. Kirkland was always very limited but Ann was making him do all sorts of training and I think James was intimidated by Ann at the start but eventually just couldn't cope and had to leave for the sanctity of his own body. I don't see Ann training much fighters now. I just think she might have put James under too much extreme stress at the time in terms of training.

    Ann Wolfe is a sadist; any boxer would have been destroyed by her "training regime".

    Kirkland was a Glass Jawed Freaud whose career was carefully crafted by his management. His Chin was absolute garbage.

    I lost all respect for Wolfe when she sent a hapless novice in there to be severely beaten by Kirkland in “sparring”.

    I thoroughly believe that she means well. It's her world view in training. She may've burned him out fast but I don't know how different his career would be, all things considered. May've peaked lower and still ended the same way at roughly the same time-shortly after peaking. I don't know any of these people, I'm just commenting to seem like I do.
