Old I know, but a lot of people in the press, (guys like Barry McGuigan who doesn't just go along) have been saying he won. Anyway, am down to watch the boxing tomorow should be good. Just want to see the general opinion on here. Sorry if a poll's already been done.

  2. Thanks for this new and exciting thread, on a wonderful new topic.

I'm sure this will spark some wonderful debating, filled with enthralling new insight and opinion on an as yet, disgracefully untouched subject

I felt it was a close bout, Couldn't have any complaints if it went to Savon but Ant got the nod so we have to move on. What's done is done, Seen far,FAR worse then that....

I think he edged it. Savon threw more punches but I'd say Joshua's were the better for landing.

If there's another poll post it mate. And yes Skillspaybills. I only saw 3rd round (which I thought he lost) but people on here are going way over the top imo, every1 I know said it was close yet people on here said he got destroyed, same with Ogogo.

It was close, Savon made him look bad & scored the cleaner punches,

Joshua landed more scuffing punches but he landed a lot cos Savon had his hands way to low whereas Joshua's defence was a lot tighter

Close bout, either could've won, no robbery

People on these forums like to perpetrate myths.

Some idiot screams robbery, a bunch of haters pick up on it, probably didn't even see the fight, they all start screaming robbery, before you know it, it's been shouted from the rooftops.

90% of the posters on here don't even know how the scoring works, honestly.

Joshua,Ogogo and Stalker all lost their fight's and got the decision, the Cuban outoxed Anthony but I will say it was close enough, the Ukraninan after a slow first round just walked Ogogo down, gave him two standing counts, had him hanging on and the Indian guy cleary won rounds 2 and 3 against Stalker,Richie Woodhall was trying to find reasons why Stalker was winning when infact the Inidan was outworking him and Stalker was landing **** all..

Ogogo is going to win the Olympic Title, i told people this last year.

But he also lost his last fight.

In the 2016 Olympics, all the TeamGB boxers will be robbed trust me.

I think its been the worst Judging i have ever seen in a Olympic Games, up their with 1984 and 1988.

I thought the Cuban nicked it.
    But ..
    The decision wasn't that bad.

This is just an example of British boxing fans looking negatively at a young fighter. The kid is only just starting out. He deserves support. He's done very well.
I guess people would rather watch a couple of over-paid professionals acting like complete ****s than forgive and forget a 'lucky' decision that befell a young Olympian.

Poor from you, Savon won and thats that...only thing i agree is move on now.

Joshua beat Madjidov in the worlds but didnt get it so it happens, but he wont beat Dychko or Ommarov.

We could witness the next great era in heavyweight history perhaps the best ever.....70s and 90s eat your heart out.

I thought the Cuban dominated TBH, landed more and the far cleaner punches, Joshua looked clueless in there at times, Savon is extremely talented.
