Did any of you catch the Ali special 'Lords of the Revolution' on VH1 Monday night...

on VH1 and, did you catch Ali on 'Wide World of Sports' (ESPN Classic)the next morning talking with Howard Cosell and analyzing how he would fight the greats before him? It is always fun to watch old footage of Ali, and this provided some good footage of Ali, and his fight against the draft.

Ali was truly hated on, and called a coward:nut. Draftees said Ali was not better than anyone, and that he should fight. America at first supported the war on Vietnam which is why many hated Ali so much. Ali, along with others changed the perception of the Vietnam war, and American's no longer supported the war. Ali was not worried about Malcolm X's people coming for him, nor was he worried about being sent to prison. Pure courage during that time. Great footage on this program too.

Ali on ESPN classic was on Wide World of Sports with Cosell analyzing all of the great heavies(no order) from Dempsey, Tunney, Johnson, Louis, and Rocky, and said that while those guys had great upperbody movement with their hands etc, it was Ali's footwork as to why he stated he would beat all of the greats before him. Ali did say that his fights with those guys would not be easy too, but that he would beat them all.

Ali complained about Nat Fleischer not ranking him yet, but Ali was still fighting. Being out almost 4 years would ruin any fighter. Ali was so great that he would win back the title another 2 times, and he had to beat a man in a gorilla suit to do it the second time. Ali was truly great, and the best fighting machine ever in my book.
