DId any of you meet joe frazier?

Was in Philadelphia on a business trip in 2007 and was looking forward to going to his gym. The day before I was going to visit who should I see eating breakfast in my downtown hotel restaurant but Joe and his son Marvis. I approached him as he was signing a pair of boxing gloves and told him I was a huge boxing fan and in particular of him, and had seen many of his fights on You Tube. He lifted his shirt to show his trim stomach and patted it before sticking his finger into my belly without saying a word, as if to say: " You need to go to the gym son." He then signed a business card sized photo of him and Marvis which I treasure to this day.

 

I used to train at his gtm sometime in the early 90's and Joe and his brother were coming down the steps with suitcases and Joe stopped and looked at this HW from New Orleans built like Tyson hitting a heavey bag. Mind you this was the bag that weighed 250 lbs. Well Joe stopped him to show him something and he through a bare fisted cold left hook that not only put a huge dent in the bag but turned it practically sideways. Its been burned into my memory,just amazing.
