Ali took hellacious body shots against Foreman and Frazier 3. He also allowed Chuvalo (1) to hit him as many times to to the body at will. What other fighter were unfazed by body shots?

Lyle got some big body shots in, and Patterson was landing very nice left hooks to the body

Man Ali was a bag of cement and he was hell to knockout, took shots to the body super well - he wasn’t overly engaged in the fight, jab, jab, move and he was out more then in, had good to great whiskers, clinched you up, great at rolling a shot, parrying etc I’m unsure if his chin was great or his awareness was just that good he anticipated everything, a negative style helps with that but at a minimum it was “good” the Cooper bout makes me wonder a bit but it could’ve just been a wicked shot and he moved into it, I’m unsure, his chin probably got “better” because his eyes got keener.

I think the awareness stuff was what he practiced on those sparring sessions in deer lake, he got really damn good at that in the 70's
