First watch I had it very close. Two points, but think that had something to do with the reasonably large(for me) wager I had (ridiculously) placed on Hatton.Watched it again on the Sunday and had at least four point difference, and I was still being generous.
I had Mayweather ahead by a wider margin. Hatton seemed to make Mayweather work harder than usual, and as Steward said, he "brought out the best" in Floyd (the 8th round was brilliant stuff). But Hatton wasn't landing much. He was eating damn near all the clean shots in that fight, not delivering them.
I gave Hatton 2 rounds. You have to score the 10th too though... 8-2 Floyd on that one. -1 for the deduction and -2 for the KD in the 10th. 98-89 Mayweather-Hatton 9-10 10-9 9-10 10-9 10-9 10-8 10-9 10-9 10-9 10-7
I had it 1 more round for Mayweather. Still, Hatton did surpsingly well but once Mayweather started to get aggressive after the mid rounds it was basically over. Mayweater was tagging him with laser shots.
I'd say that a score card that is giving to much credit for ineffective aggression. Mayweather should have credit for an extra round or two on top of that.
