A lot of people were drawing parallels with Floyd's first fight with Castillo saying that Baldomir was a poor man's version of him.

I thought the fight would be alot more closer, Baldomir had a great year and was the first natural WW floyd have ever fought.

Mostly Mayweather fanboys were the ones on this forum who respected Baldomir as a bonafide champion.

.....anybody who knows boxing thought that Baldomir did'nt have anything in his arsenal to which to trouble an elite like Mayweather......he had not speed, quickness, or power.......

The only thing that Baldomir had that Mayweather and his fanboys wanted was the linear WW title that Baldomir go lucky to win vs an unrespectful Zudah who barely bothered to train for Baldomir and paid for it.

While true boxing fans screamed for Mayweather vs Margarito, Mayweathers fanboys were vehemently discrediting Margarito's record, his caliber of opposition, and his skillset.......arguing that any decent boxer would school Margarito.

From way back then, the fanboys here at ESB have been afraid that one day Mayweather may have to meet Margarito.
Everyone of those guys picked and prayed that Cotto would get rid of him, but Margarito is still here......and while almost any boxing fan of scribe worth his salt would say Margarito and Williams are currently the best Welterweights, Mayweather is voicing a comeback attempt to fight only Pac or Hatton......the latter of which he already knocked out!:rofl:rofl:rofl

To the thread topic.......Baldomir was a sacraficial lamb, he never had a chance!
......and anybody who pays attention already knew that!

I thought the fight would be a whole lot more competetive.

I think everybody here knew that Baldimor was an easy fight for Floyd, this was also during the time in which Floyd rejected an 8 Million dollar offer to fight Margarito, so Floyd supporters went out of their way to argue the huge size difference between Baldimor and Floyd and that Carlos walked around at 180.

Knowing all along that this fight would be a snoozer Floyd fans made every attempt to justify this fight happening, the only sound arguement for Floyd taking the fight was for the Ring title nothing more, but in terms of it being a good fight, that was never in the mix from the start of it.

Farce. Nothing else sums up what this fight truly was.
