Did Rafa ruin Silence or is Yonnhy just that good (ie nearly Marquez-at-bantam good)? It looks like he toughed it out until pretty late against the prospect, and according to the boxrec summary he won the early rounds. I'd still like to see Silence do well. If he's still got the same stuff he brought to the Marquez and Vargas fights I'd still back him against most in the division, including Moreno. :bbb
Did Rafa ruin Silence or is Yonnhy just that good (ie nearly Marquez-at-bantam good)? I've got the fight -- noways as good as Marquez-- Perez was uncomfitable when Silence attacked the body which he did often,Silence took the fight to him and took unnecessary counterpunches when not giving Perez enough angles. Silence was heading for a clear 2 to 3 point win when he got tagged with a beaut of a left jab that put him on his arse early in the 12th --Yonnhy gave him no chance to recover -- good fight -- good stoppage -- fooled me :smoke:smoke
So Mabuza really went down from a jab? That's funny. Marquez staggered him badly with a jab in the first round of their second fight. Seems like jabs have more of an affect on him than power shots. It makes me wonder if the jab did the damage in the combination you see in my sig, and not the hook. Where did you see the fight by the way? It's not on any Boxing torrents yet. It took months for Raheem-Funeka to surface online. Hopefully, that's not the case here.
So my boy can still compete at the top level? I was worried he might be prematurely shot after that pair of wars, but sounds like he's still game. :bbb And I'll have to keep an eye out for Yon and his uberjab.
