I didn't, but told ya'all Jacobs is the real deal. According to the scorecards he won fairly handily. Anybody got anything
Ishe gave a good account of himself, and as far as Jacobs, he will need more than what he showed to beat Pavlik. Jacobs was faster than Smith. Smith tagged him with some hard shots, and wobbled him at times, but never hurt Jacobs, and Smith is a former ww. Jacobs learned a lot yesterday...
lolz yea, he really looked like the real deal when he was getting wobbled around the ring by a left hook that Smith was telegraphing all night long you throw that guy in with anyone in the top 10 and he will have his ass handed to him
i actually fully expect...especially after the diaz/paulie scoring controversy...that g leon will be on his site tomorrow claiming that wasnt the only fight of the night scored horribly
I don't like Jacobs, he is a twat. He does have some tallent, seems to be a decent chin, and he has a fighters disposition. He lacks power and he isn't a good enough boxer to make up for it on the elite level. Matt Korobov is the best of the prospects around middle weight right now.
Oddly, he didn't throw like that when he was an amateur; not that I'd expect anyone here to know that.
Ishe landed his best shots on Jacobs, and Jacobs took them. This was a great learning experience for Jacobs.
Scorecards meant jack obviously they had there mind made up before it even started. I did have Jacobs by a round but he was being schooled on clean and effective punching whenever Ishe Smith decided to actually throw punches. Did Smith miss a left hook ? Of course it doesnt matter cause according to HBO it was a slap punch anyway.
