OR Am I the only one who enjoyed it???? I had a small crowd of friends over, just casuals who could probably only name like 5 fighters, and they seemed to enjoy it. Obvviouslly its not Rios/Alvarado, but it was a battle of two highly skilled fighters. They were amazed with Rigo, some comparing him to Floyd with his HIT N DONT BE HIT strategy. I remember one of them telling me Nonito was making the fight boring, because he was tenative/scared to throw after feeling RIGOS power, while RIGO was hitting him with hard counters. I enjoyed the fight, a tactical one. Rigo NEVER RAN, he was counterpunching. I believe Rigo threw more punches???? So who really is to blame for the BORING FIGHT as some would say??

I loved every second of it. Always appreciate high skill fights.

While I was watching Abril-Bogere and Hopkins-Cloud I knew people would think boring but Donaire-Rigo was a top 5 p4p guy losing in his prime and Rigo threw bombs I'm actually surprised but hey the average casual is a *******.

I was on edge the whole fight cause in round 1 they traded big blows. When Rigo almost KO'd donaire in the 12th, I got so flustered. I wanted blood.

I'm not sure if I would use the word 'entertaining', but the word that came to my mind was 'tense', especially in those first few rounds. There was a very noticeable tension in the air -- I've watched other fights which were also very tense, but this one had its own particular feel, because you had two very fast counterpunchers, and both of them have power to hurt or knock the other guy down with only one punch. There were long patches where they just stood at range, circled, and waited to explode into action.

I thought it was one of the most tense and edge of your seat fights in recent memory. I thought it was an amazing match. People are just butthurt because Rigo made Donaire look like a C level fighter.

The way Rigo turned Donita's face into a swollen ******'s butt after all the **** Donita and his fat ass wife talked? Yea that was entertaining.

The way Donita whinned and moaned and made excuses like the sneaky little punk he is and the crowd booed him and nearly made him cry? Yea that was entertaining.

The way HBO tried to wipe the tears off Donita's face and cuddled him like a baby? Yea that was entertaining.

The look on Donita's fat ass trash talking wife Rachel's face after the fight? Yea that was entertaining.

What was most entertaining though were the twelve rounds in which Rigo gave Donita a boxing lesson and made him look like the bum he really is. Serves the punk right for shamelessly ducking Rigo for so long.

most people expected a more competitive fight. instead Rigo controlled nearly every aspect of the fight the first six rounds, then he got very comfortable and took it easy until Donaire got really aggressive in the 10th.

i picked Donaire to win the fight but the skill and discipline Rigondeax showed in the first half and last couple rounds of the fight was absolutely brilliant and i enjoyed every second of it.

    I was very entertained, yeah.

  13. You aren't alone. You could see the nuances in the skill of both fighters. Particularly Rigo discouraging the jab and the left hook from Nonito. Personally, I was entertained. Your casual friends sound like budding fans of the sweet science. :good

Rigo could have prob won a RD without throwing a blow if he wanted to.
