Yeah, I found the fight pretty engrossing. Rigo boxed beautifully, but for the first nine there was always the sense that Donaire could capitalize on any opening given to him and turn things around. Of course, when he did find that opening, Rigo got up, dusted himself off and then proceeded to take the play away from his foe; and that was quite the spectacle in its own right.

I expected to watch a tense chess match...and I wasn't disappointed with what I saw. Anyone who was disappointed probably had unrealistic expectations of what would happen going into the fight.

    I loved it.

I would have hated it if Rigo didn't have power, though. I don't like to see guys try to play tag for a decision (Dirrell), but Rigo was fighting a brilliant tactical fight and landing hard shots, which is why Nonito was afraid to open up. I didn't see running at all, I saw leading the opponent into traps and counters.

Rigo is a cobra in there. It was honestly my favourite fight I've seen in many years. Often I'm a bit edgy before a fight but when it starts I relax, with this fight I was edgy until the final bell. An intense fight where every little move could've resulted in a knockout. Rigo is a once in a lifetime sort of talent and he was against a p4p guy with power and speed in only his 12th 'pro' fight. Rigo made him look like a novice. I feel sorry for anybody who didn't really understand and appreciate what they were seeing.

Watching a great boxer domanate another great boxer to me is better than a slug fest. I'll take Rigodoaux/Donaire over Rios/Alvarado any day, and yes I also enjoyed Rios/Alvarado.

    Entertained , barely.

The key word is timid and by that I mean gun-shy.

Both guys were too afraid of each other to make that fight entertaining.

Now if those fighters with there skillset had the heart of Bandon Rios we would have had an amazing bout.

**** we have some ******s on this board. Donaire weighed 10 pounds more than Rigo and still had his face completely busted up and was running in the 12th. Donaire has a good chin, Rigo is p4p one of the hardest punchers in the sport. Clawless cat :rofl

i enjoyed it. But i also enjoyed haye vs wlad.

It had that element of, the fight could end at any moment, plus there was tremendous skill being shown
