Did anyone else have it 4-1 Edgar?

I have no idea how they managed to pull a split draw out their asses on this one. I think overall, it was at the least 3-2 Edgar. Maynard may have gotten round 3 as a toss up if i recall correctly but even then, it shouldn't have warranted even a split decision. I was even more surprised when i saw frankie just toss the belt down. Thoughts?

I had it 3-2 Edgar, but would argue too hard if someone gave the 5th to Gray. And the 1st was a clear 10-8 round, o I guess a draw is fair

    10-8 Maynard
    10-9 Edgar
    10-9 Maynard
    10-9 Edgar
    10-9 Edgar

47-47 was how I scored it.

Maybe a draw but i don't know how you could have Maynard actually up on the cards. I can understand round 1 being 10-8.

    :deal

48-46 Maynard or Edgar could have been plausible too, it was very close and in the end it was so hard to call a true winner i'm glad it ended up as a draw.

I didnt but the 5th was close, and as I was rooting for Edgar to win Im may have biasedly scored the round for him. Will need to watch the 5th again, but as I said IMO a draw is correct

That's how I scored it. Close fight either way.

I thought that Maynard won the 1st, 3rd, and 5th rounds. That first round should have been a 10-7 at least. I seriously see no way that Edgar did enough after that first round to actually win that fight. I don't think he deserved a draw either. He made it a decent fight against Gray, who was clearly punched out after the first round. However, just another example of how horrible the 10 pt must system is in MMA. Nothing that Edgar did in that fight should trump that first round. Especially after Gray won the 3rd and the 5th.

    I had it Maynard 48 - 42 Edgar.

    Maynard 10 - 8
    Edgar 10 - 9
    Maynard 10 - 9
    Edgar 10 - 9
    Maynard 10 - 9

I would be fine with giving the fifth to Edgar making it a draw.

There is really no way Edgar won; he clearly lost the first round 10 - 8; if that round isn't 10-8 then there shouldn't be an option for any round to be. Maynard also pretty clearly won round 3, just as clearly as Edgar did 4.

Best score was Maynard winning 4-2, next 3-2 if 10-8 rounds don't exist, and then the best Edgar could have done was 3-3 with a 10 - 8 round and winning round 5.

A draw would have been fine. First round a 10-8 for maynard. you could give him another round (3rd or 5th) and you'll get 47-47.

i had it 48-46 edgar though.

That's a bit unfair... taking 4 points off Edgar for no reason :hi:

    I had it 48 - 46 Maynard BTW...

Since when UFC has 10-8 scoring?

I had it 3-2 Edgar. But if I could score first round 10-8 then I do. Which makes it a draw.

We shouldn't be discussing this as Edgar shouldn't have made it out of the first round.

Gray 'The Decision' Maynard couldn't finish his own dinner.
