Froch was parrying a lot of shots too. Sitting ringside i had it 4-3-1 to Froch after 8 rounds, before Froch got behind his jab and won the last four.

Pascal was knackered after round 7.

No, I had it 115-113 Froch.
That's a close fight, but it was a clear decision to me, a 'stong' 7-5.

Where Pascal lost it was from tiring/getting worn down over the second half...his attacks early on were in lovely combinations, but as the fight progressed those degraded to one-twos and single shots. His jabs also devolved, becoming more sporadic as Froch's jab began to take over and fill the space between the heavier exchanges in a way that Pascal didn't.

After that first attack, Froch kept a fairly consistant pace throughout. Wheras Pascal's footwork and combinations were excellent to begin with but he couldn't keep that pace going. In some ways it was a bit like Cotto-Margarito.

I had Froch by 3 rounds.

Great fight, both fighters got in trouble a couple of times near the end of rounds but managed to hang on. Both guys fought well, hope Pascal isn't too disheartend, he aquitted himself very well.

Wait a minute!! That was a INTERBOX show, not a GYM. I'm living in Montreal and was ashamed of the decision...totaly bullsh**!! INTERBOX has a good reputation and doing a great job with Bute to show that they are the "good guys". But, in the GYM events, they try to have impartial judges. I'm not saying there's no bull****...just saying that INTERBOX don't care about Montreal's reputation, cuz it's GYM that's doing all the shitty work to develop young talent and to go do boxing around the province to promote the sport. INTERBOX are just recolting the work of Yvon Michel (who was in the past the boss of INTERBOX-now Groupe Yvon Michel (GYM).

Jean-Pascal showed that he need's to work out he's technics back to the gym, cuz without a jab and a decent defence, he'll be outmatch by every top opponents...But, he has a great talent (and now we know he has a great chin!) and since he's just 26, he's got the time to get his grades and be a Top Contender! Great show givin by the 2 of them!! Hope to see Froch defence of the SMW title! Salut to all Britz!!:D

It had to be 8 rounds to 4 for Froch in my book because Pascal was inactive and or ineffective in too many rounds after round 6 !!

No, and I was trying to score it for Pascal as well. He simply did not do enough in the last third of the fight. He was very effective when he had his spurts, landing on Froch with ease, with hard clean shots, but he took a lot himself and was on the end of Froch's jab a lot.

    Froch won.
