Did anyone else think Haye's injury in the Wlad fight was obvious?

He clearly didn't comfortable against Klitchko, and it wasn't only because of klitchko. If you've seen all of his fights you know his footwork didn't look as good.

A few times I noticed you could see him wincing in pain when he would put pressure on his toe. You need a toe to balance, so although it might be a smaller injury, it becomes a significant one.

watching him vs valuev and then vs chisora, and then I watch him in between vs Wlad and TO ME his toe injury is obvious. Like I said just my opinion.

I genuinely beleive a healthy Haye would have stopped wlad.

That fight was a lot closer than the German scorecards suggested. Vitali wanted no part of David

The toe didn't help, but Haye's style was always going to impede him as Haye leaps in with his shots rather than using good foot work.

Why not do what everyone else does and have a pain-killing injection before the fight?

Other fighters fight injured all the time. They just don't whine about it and make excuses.

It's a nonsense, even without an injection the adrenaline would have masked the toe pain. That's partly why fighters often fight with injuries. It hindered him but not enough to make a real difference.

I agree and think Vitali would be an easierr matchup for haye than Wlad

Yup, when a fighter gets injured (for real tho) it's very obvious smg is way off. . That was a haye that couldn't even plant his feet

Yep, he ran a lot more then he usually did. Clearly a sign of a foot injury.
If he had an hand injury he would be standing in one place trowing haymakers.

There's no way of knowing when in the fight it happened. He moved a lot too

Also he lost almost every round

Had it been close I'd be more interested

No it wasnt obvious. There were plenty of times during the fight especially in the 2nd half when I thought Haye was holding back when usually he would seize a half chance. He puts that down to his toe and I can see that being plausible. Some say the toe thing wasnt even real. It was real.

But what i did see was Klitchko once again showing he can keep fast but short and big but slow at exactly the distance he wants them at at all times. The Haye fight just looked like a carbon copy of many of Vlads fights where his opponents just cant get past the Vlad jab and grab.

He did the same against Valuev. What's the excuse for that gift decision?
