Yep, I enjoyed the series.. But sometimes I go :huh whenever the boxers in that anime do their own "boxing techiniques" (Ippo's wierd dempsey roll, the shotgun punches, the swift uppercuts by the boxer/doctor, Sendo's smash punch, etc.) but I still enjoyed the serie and the OVAs nonetheless ..
Great show, a watched it a couple years back. Its actually one of the best rated animes ever due to its story, animation, comedy, and great characters. Too bad they never continued the story on Takamura.
who is Ippo? seriously, i find it strange that there is a japanese world middleweight champion in takamura. my favorite punch is the dempsey roll and the smasher.
