:huh Actually Andy your missing the point completely. Whether Khan is or isn't PPV. Thats not his problem, it's Warrens problem.

Khan's problem is his opponent infront of him and his chin. Him and Roach have to generate a plan and Khan has to spend the entire fight sticking to it which he did. Khan's chin is suspect which will make his fights entertaining in my eyes because there's always a chance he will be KO'd.

Kotelnik sat for 12 rounds with his gloves high infront of his face and has a very good guard. Everyone he's fought has struggled to get through his defense but Khan gets slated for it.

If Haye (suspect chin) was to do the same thing in a fight with Vitali (also slow) then I suspect your take on things may be very different.:good

I didn't find it boring because I felt that at any moment Khan could get KTFO. So there was a level of tense anticiptation that kept things interesting.

If I watched it again, I'd perhaps find it boring.

ach dont worry about it Kerr my good man.

ESB aint the place it used to be if you ask me, nowadays personal insults are the norm if you happen to disaagree with certain posters viewpoints.

I been posting here for years, & no matter what I say its always boxing related. I can always back up my arguments with insightful boxing debate.

Nowadays though, its hard to even debate anymore, let alone have some banter & a good laugh in the process & entice new posters to the forum. Now the place is overrun by teengers & casual boxing fans if you ask me, & posting has become steadily more tedious as time passes by.

The older posters will know what Im talking about, even if they wont quote me & admit it. The very fact I cant even moan about a PPV without being the victim of personal abuse says it all. The lunatics are running the asylum, & thats what saddens me.
Where the **** are the characters anymore? Most of this forums big characters are a shadow of their former selves, due to the dumbing down of proper debate, mixed with some close to the bone banter.

Not that I mind anyway, I have had my good times on here & plenty of fun in the process. My post count is dropping though, due to the banality of many of the threads here. This forum was one of the best, but times change, people change & forums change. & brit ESB like everything else has moved with the times, & the place has a different breed of poster now. Aggresive homourless posting has become more of the norm, & nowadays Im happy to take a back seat most of the time.

Anyway, who cares what I think. Not even me to be honest! I used to get wound up, but the place aint even winding me up anymore- why? due to the lack of solid respectable characters who know their stuff.

Any good character here who knows their stuff(you know who you are) will feel my pain.
However, who gives a **** about my pain, its just me posting from the heart.
Thats the way I play the game!

To Kerrminator, a true pal, the only guy apart from my good self who stayed loyal to Scotty & fought the good fight:deal

Is that a leaving post? It probably is. Never say never though:D

Just kidding!!! It is a leaving post. I only ever came back to wind up the posters who thought they had seen me gone for good when Appleby got beat, I couldnt resist:lol:
But Im a man of my word, even if I delayed it just to have one big last laugh:smoke
Im gone now though, & let that be the end of it.

Andy???? Im from Dunblane so my name must be Andy ??? lol ;)

Khans fight against Kotelnik was a borefest imo and mark my words when I say his next 2 or 3 years are gonna tell us f*** all. He will face an endless amount of either slow fighters or soft punching fighters (I suppose you could say he's gonna stick to the same routine he's been on since day 1)

Khan might only have to worry about the fighter in front of him as you say Danny Boy but he's the guy who employed Wank Warren to put them there. If you go to the pub, dont be surprised if you end up drunk ;)

Sorry 'Kerminator' I saw the following exchange, put 2 and 2 together and got 5. It happens

Anyways, as for your pub quip, that just sounded ridiculous.

And another thing..... Khan didn't employ Warren..... Warren employed Khan. Warren is out to make as much money of Khans back as possible. He's getting Khan more money in the process and getting him shots a world titles....Both should be happy.

Also if you genuinely thought that the Khan fight was a bore fest then you must not have the greatest appreciation of the sport or what it takes to win a title at that level or you are simply a hater. Khan has a suspect chin....That we agree on. How can stepping up to fight a man that we know will last the 12 rounds, in a division up and executing a game plan the way he did be boring ?
Khan got tagged quite a lot and I was on the edge of my seat wondering how he'd take it.
Anyways you are clearly unhappy it was a PPV as are most people (Including myself) but to say that the fight was boring because it was PPV is daft. "If it was on ITV then it would have been ok" so it wouldn't have been boring on ITV ?

Oh yeah, nice touch with the 'Wank Warren' nickname see what Dunky means now about you old posters :deal

I know the sport alright mate and if that was what you call entertaining then fair enough but I've been a boxing fan long enough to remember when you paid PPV you got proper PPV worthy fights.

Khan just threw a little flurry now and again the ran (most of his shots missed aswell) and that was the way the whole fight went. If you want to see a proper sweet science I suggest you watch some of Pernell Whittakers fights or Mayweathers etc etc and then you'll realise Khan is a bit more than a country mile from those guys.

Also, im not saying the fight was boring because it was on PPV (that doesnt even make sense) Im saying it was boring regardless of where it was shown therefore was not PPV worthy but Khan is not a PPV worthy fighter anyway so thats a bit of a moot point

Well fair enough pal. I did find the fight entertaining, could have been coz I was there in the Arena or could have been purely coz I appreciated what I was seeing.
No, Khan is no PPV but to be honest if they would have shown the whole card (I know they didn't but...) then would you have minded paying for PPV then ? I know I certainly wouldn't have.

And PPV has been going for years in the US. You are in for a rude awakening too as it is going to get worse over here. We've been very lucky so far over here.
Plus I dont see it as being Khan's fault.

When you left out the rest of my messgae when quoting did this mean you agreed with what I was saying ie. warren not be employed by Khan etc etc...

Also 'Sweet Pea' is probably my favourite all time fighter and Floyd is up there at the moment too but thanks for the advice :hi:

It wasn't 'that' boring, Kotelnik was asleep in his guard for the first 9 rounds, that was the major contributor to the 'borefest'.

Some people will never be happy what Khan does, they will only be happy seeing him getting KTFO again.

All I say to Khan haters is he is 22 and a world champion, nuff said.

Keep hating, Khan needs haters so he can work even harder in the gym, Haters is what drives Khan to do better and prove them wrong, like he said after his win to sky.
