I posted this ages ago on the other thread of the weigh-in:

I hate to say i told you so, but so many posters recently on ESB that us old guard know what we are talking about. I really couldn't see how AA could win.

There was a poll on the Brit forum and i seem to remember seeing Froch by decision winning in a close poll

I voted Froch by decision , but i also stated that i beleived AA had the tools to KO Froch , Froch is not elusive nor does he have good defence , therefore Abrahams big shot , his rear hand could have played a factor , Froch managed to nullify that which takes away Abrahams threat .............

    - Pascal's flush short left and right hooks
    - Taylor outboxing Froch for many rounds, AA boxing very well vs. Jermain
    - Froch hurt by Dirrell and Kessler, AA's monster power

Mathematical logic told AA would likely catch the defensively flawed Froch at some point, but sweet science has a different logic, and Froch fought a perfect fight I never expected from him, and I take my hat off to him. Styles make fights, and Carl's style worked like a charm for 12 rounds. But you're only smart in hindsight, more than the half of the boxing public used the same (false) logic I did, and had Abraham winning. Here I admit I was wrong.

yeah he was a fukken ***** in there. i sure hope i never see him again in a title fight, that coward midget.

Froch toyed with him. if Abraham does have a little bit of pride in that smurf heart of his he should never show his face again after that pathetic, cheating fight of his.. go home aa

I saw this scenario play out as well...I oringinally said to myself though after the Dirrell loss that Froch is going to win a UD and possibly a KO. Then I watched the Kessler fight and thought to myself that AA would straight up leave Froch on the canvas out cold counting stars.

I went with AA catching him with a few good shots before the finish and I was definitely wrong myself and Froch deserves all the credit in the world. That was the best performance of the tourney yet.

I thought Froch would win, but not by a shut out like that. Abraham starts off too slow, and Carl is too active. I couldn't see Abraham stopping Carl, who is usually hurt through a multiple of punches. Not the one big punch, which Arthur tried to set him up with on numerous occasions....

I thought he could.I was expecting a slightly faster start than normal to try and take a bit of steam out of Froch. And thought he would really start letting some punches go after round 5.I did say though that what happened against Dirrel may have affected him mentally. That was a very bad night for AA before the DQ.
Every time he tried to offload on Dirrel he got hit several times and was hurt time and time again. He knew after a round Froch could hurt him more than Dirrel and just went for survival.Froch was great,a really good win for him and his record is starting to look very good.

I've said it from the start, and will say it again, where is this monster power of Abrahams ? His only display of power punching in the super 6 came against another blown up middleweight, and a shot version of Taylor at that !!
Every shot that Froch landed, including the ones that hit Abrahams arms and gloves, were having an effect, and had Froch decided to revert back to slugging toe to toe, there is every possibilty he would have stopped Abraham.
As for being "defensively flawed" i think he proved last night he's not one dimensional or predictable, and kept the fight at rang.It wasn't a case of Abraham being negative, but more a case of Froch negating anything Abraham had to offer. Not only did Froch fight smart and not stand toe to toe,but he was noticeably the bigger man with the heavier hands.
