I gave Khan the first 6 and the 11th but the latter being very close and wouldn't argue anyone seeing it the other way. Factor in the point deduction and the knockdown, it's hard to see how people had Maidana winning a decision. Had the fight gone any longer then I think Maidana would have won and in a rematch I'm not sure, Khan would probably be on his bike all night and pick up another UD. I hope they do fight again but can't see it happening if he beats the winner of Bradley/Alexander until he has been knocked out by Floyd.

i had it 6-6 in rounds but Khan winning due to the knockdown and point deduction. Would rather see a rematch than Khan fight anyone else.

I had Khan winning 115-112, and I think in a rematch he does better.

The story of the fight was really Khan being the better boxer but making a handful of mistakes that let Maidana back into the fight, most noteably the 10th. Eliminate those mistakes and it's an easier ride.

Khan was like a kid at Christmas when he found out he had a chin that could hold up. He was so eager to mix it when he knew he could and looked to prove it time after time.

When the fuss dies down he'll have a bollocking for the way he boxed.

He'd make a rematch much much easier.

It'd be a good exercise in showing how much he'd learnt but not much more than that. I won't be gutted if we don't see it again.

Khan won clear. The cards were too close. No rematch needed.

McGuigan got it spot on his pucnh resistance has improved by riding the shots and better defence.

I still think he will get stopped early again before his career ends. I would also fancy Maidana in a rematch.

Rematch would definitely be won by Maidana. He should and could have stopped Khan in round 10. He will kick himself that he did not. The dubious point deduction basically gave the fight to Khan otherwise a draw would have been about right.

"Definitely" Olu? Khan won by 3 points on my card and Maidana was only in the fight when Khan let him into it.

There's no way Maidana won. If you were being extremely generous and gave Maidana round's 3 and 11 you could have it Khan 113-112 at the closest. I had it 115-110, 114-111 is reasonable I suppose.

I'd fancy Khan to take a rematch. Manny Steward made a good point on the subject of Lewis-Rahman on an article posted on here a few days ago by Charles White. He said that in rematches, it's usually the guys with the great amateur pedegree and years of experience who win rematches because they can make adjustments better and learn from mistakes better.

Khan has that amateur pedigree, he's showed he can make adjustments to his fighting style, he's showed he can learn from his mistakes and I'd fancy him to do so again and win a rematch without as many hairy moments.

So which rounds did you score for Maidana? I had it 114-111, giving Maidana the 3rd which could have easily been 10-10, the 7th, 10th-12th. In all the other rounds Maidana was clearly outworked and outclassed.

I thought Cortez helped Khan in the latter stages of the fight, breaking up the clinches and giving him a breather but he was consistent with the performance he gave in the FMJ-Hatton fight. I think most refs would have taken a point away for the elbow as it had intent.

I doubt Khan will be looking for a rematch any time soon.

The shot he caught Khan with in the 10th was a lucky shot from a desperate fighter, Roach will be all over Khan about it, Maidana looked he didnt even wanna come out the previous couple of rounds. In the rematch, no way would Roach allow khan to get caught with anything like that, he seemed chilled out in the corner this time, next time he'll be like he was against Kotelnik, forcing Khan to follow instructions.

APlease tell me how exactly Point deduction was dubious? how the fck are u gonna throw an elbow right infront of the referee, missing and accidentally hitting the referee, what kind of sport alows that kind of ****?
