The myth that Fury should have fought Wilder as a southpaw was exposed, did anyone notice the couple of occasions when Fury tried this? Does this prove that a southpaw stance is ineffective v Wilder? Fury did far better v Wilder than Ortiz did apart from the fact that he didn`t punch hard enough to hurt Wilder.
His left lead was negating Wilder's big right; so everytime he switched to SPaw it was pretty ominous. Or maybe he was goading Wilder into a trap.
I think Freddie Roach bigging up Tysons ability as a southpaw pre-fight was a smokescreen designed to get Wilders team second guessing.
I just hope Big John gives him a scolding for doing that stupid clowning and losing focus on his boxing skills. Was so pointless. That was Furys biggest mistake in there tonight. Clowning around for the sake of clowning around. ****ing stupid vs someone as explosive as Wilder.
My question is, how does Fury avoid the right i the rematch. It took Wilder an inordinate amount of time to work out that throwing it where his head will be as opposed to where it is. Youd think hell carry that mindset into the rematch.Tyson will have to combat that.
Well Fury must of proved by now him and his team know what they are doing. So im guessing they will be smart enough to consider what the other team are considering and train smart again.
