I got to say, this is a joke of a fight. I was never sold on Khan. Khan had a lot of trouble with Algieri, who isn't a bad fighter in his own right, but he took everything Khan had and didn't flinch. Khan doesn't have anything to bother Canelo with, and Khan despite being a silver medalist, is very mechanical and systematic. It's like he's programmed to do the same thing over and over and over again. Joke of a fight. I get it that boxers don't want to fight other guys that can potentially beat them up, but don't expect people to pay for it. Thoughts?
I wish I could've. Im stuck somewhere in east bphuck and the ****bag hotel doesn't have the capabilities to order per room, meaning that ****** thinks every room would acue a charge. Asked her to find out what i can do here to fix my night but doubt she lifts her fat ass. I have a strong feeling its either foty possibly fotd or ktfo of the year
You realize that paying for **** like this ruins the sport, right? I mean, I get it. Canelo is scared to fight GGG. That's fine, he can quit boxing. He has plenty of money. He's young. He can go to school and live a normal life like everyone else. It's no big deal. Nobody would really get upset. He would have his money and his health. But by purchasing this fight, you're saying it's fine for him to beat up guys like Khan that have no business fighting him. Honestly, would Khan beat Porter, Thurman, Broner, and Garcia? He might beat Garcia, but the dude went almost life and death with Algieri if only Algieri had any punching power at all. This is a bunk ass fight.
But as long as people keep buying these joke fights they will have no incentive to put on better fights.
I think so too. Khan is not a boxer. Virgil Hunter is trying to turn Khan into a boxer, ala Mayweather, but Khan is not a boxer. Khan is a volume puncher. Guys like Canelo eat volume punchers for breakfast. Canelo is essentially, a slow footed, counterpuncher with good punching power. It will only be a matter of time before Khan gets stopped. It's a terrible stylistic mismatch. It's like trying to turn Joe Frazier into a boxer vs Foreman. Sure, it gave him a few more rounds, but at the end of the day, he still got knocked out. It would be VERY surprising to me if Khan doesn't get knocked out.
Exactly. It's a farce. You have a guy that's MUCH bigger than his opponent, who also has a stylistic advantage. A volume puncher DOES not match up well against a counter punching slugger with power.
and you have a middleweight draining himself to the bone fighting a blownup jr welterweight. i heard dan rafael on espn radio big hyping this fight the other day, so he's officially a putz
