Did anyone pick Tyrell Biggs to beat Mike Tyson in 1987?

True, but he had great power and strength to go with a very good boxing brain and strong will. He was mostly very professional in his approach as well, something the fighters of the 80's and 90's generally wasn't known for.

Definitely, and that made up for a lot of it and why I rank him as a great heavyweight. He was determined and disciplined, but I do believe he had a big advantage over all the fighters he pounded his legacy out against in the mid to late 90's. Not only were they lazy, but technically inept.

Lewis really couldn't box well under the eyes of Pepe Correa.... Lewis learned a whole lot later in 1995 by teaming with Manny Steward, yet it took several fights for Lewis to find himself... TRUTH!

One thing he did use earlier in his career especially w/ Davenport was his lefthook. He pretty much stopped using it as years went by, but the guy had a real nice left hook early on. The Steward version never used that punch and went to a standard 1-2.

Lewis learned from his loss, changed trainer and improved himself into an ATG. Tyson did the exact opposite, but still in someway their careers are so similar.

Both utterly dominated their eras, both had the fluke losses to guys they could normally wipe the floor with.

He weighed a lot less back then. He was probably the best guy at putting on weight and still being effective as the division has ever seen.

Lewis always looked good adding weight... Lewis even carried 256 in 2003 pretty damn good..... He was no fat-ass slob like "Bowe or Douglas."

You have to admire Lennox he did everything you could ask for from a great fighter.
He could brawl, he could outbox. He lost, came back avenged his losses, beat everyman put in front of him, cleared out the division and beat Vitali Klitschkos overrated a$$..... :)
