It was the sixth I believe. I gave it to Pavlik because well I felt sorry for him and I am a fan of his. atsch
I had it 118-108 for Hopkins, I only gave Kelly the 6th round. The 5th was close (Bernard didn't look good at the end of it), but I still gave it to B-Hop. The 9th was even on my card 9-9. All the others were for Bernard (plus a 10-8 8th round).
Well, I was ready to score some of the close ones but Hopkins always ended better. I don't give pity rounds. That's just not right. Therefore I always score the fights EXACTLY the same. I had a 9-9 round when the point was deducted from Hopkins, but other than that, I had it 119-106. I score the last round 10-8 for Hopkins.
****! I hate Hopkins. I hope Roy wins to shut up the Slappy fans and I can see Jones whoop Hopkins again.
To be honest mate, I never liked Bernard much. I like Pavlik too, but that fight was really something man, I GOTTA respect Hop big. He truly turned back the clock. Kelly can rebound and still dominate at 160 though.
It wasn't even close for me in any round...besides one of them turning out even because of the point taken from B-Hop.
I almost gave Kelly the round where BHop lost the point - as it was his best round. Even his best round was not good enough to justify Kelly winning a round. Hopkins schooled him from beginning to end.
This was a very easy fight to score IMO. I scored every round to Hopkins for ring generalship, effectiveness, and simply landing the cleaner, harder punches. He did this in every round in my opinion. There were rounds where Kelly did a bit better than he did in the earlier rounds, but that doesn't mean he did enough to win the round. I can't remember any point in the fight where Kelly imposed his will on Hopkins and actually made Bernard feel his presence.
