    Hi Lads,
just looking for some feedback on this. We were hoping to air 4 live events over the weekend but we only managed the show from Istanbul. Next week we should have 3 events and then it breaks until January when we should manage 4 if not 5 every round. I have yet to see the broadcast. Did anyone have time to watch? Interesting concept I think.

No worries. It was on live on Friday at 19:00. I will check when the repeats are due. Should have 2 if not 3 live next week from Paris, Milan and I think China.

I watched some of the last night paris v istanbulls?

What is the crack is it top amatuers fighting in this competition under professional rules? Do they then go back as amatuer after it finishes?

    thats the one i saw.

i think the World Series concept was introduced to allow amateurs to fight pro but still come back to compete in major am tournaments.

so the boxers taking part can still try qualifying for London 2012 etc

i thought the show was ok, but wasn't too impressed with the commentator whoever that is. a fighter would clearly slip, and the commentator would be like "oooh he's been knocked down again...but the ref does not think a count is required!"

one thing i didn't realise was that i think any fighter can join any franchise regardless of their nationality. e.g. the Istanbulls team had an Afghan and a Ukranian in it.

i've also sky plus'd the moscow vs chicago (?) one so i'll watch that later.

I caught some of the Paris/Istanbull one this morning, I must say boxing wise it was deadly. Very good matches, with skillful motivated fighters. I think this competition has tons of potential.

The presentation of the show could be improved a bit, as somebody said the commentator wasn't great, he was a bit dull. Having two people, one a former boxer, would improve it a good bit.

Nope, not at the moment. Kenny Egan is fighting for Miami as well. Hopefully if the competition will expand in the future and we might get our own team.

It's pretty strange at the moment actually, if you look at the teams in the European division. Britain and Germany, the two main boxing markets I would have thought, don't have any franchise. Not sure how it was set up, but surely they'll get their own teams soon enough.
