Still has a **** defense against world class competition. I thought he's spruced it up over his past few fights, but the first top notch opponent he's had in a while exposed it like hell once again.
You know that 90% of Pavlik fans have their excuses pre-written so they can copy and paste for future discussions! Guys like Booradley and Hermit are biased Pavlik fans who are blind to his short comings!
No. Paul Williams is EXACTLY who I've said he is. He doesn't know how to fight tall, he leans in and pushes his punches which builds his volume while not always being effective. He can be tagged with moderately-well-timed counters all night long, and is wide open for straight shots.
I'll admit his defense needs some work but atleast if he fights Pavlik he wont be up against "world class" competition! With Pavlik in his sights all PW will see is a human form of a Rock'em Sock'em Robot with a smaller head and softer chin!:hi:
Tell me about it. I got no problem with booradley but lately he's becoming pain in the ass in which he can't help himself with the Williams, goosen, peterson bashing. He talks about Williams gets hated cause of peterson big mouth? And what Loew is not known for that? <<Do i smell double standard? Now with hermit, say one tiny thing bad about Pavlik and he'll put you on ignored ( has you, me on ignored)
Booradley has now resorted to talking about how many seats were sold at a PW fight!(talk about a loser). Hermit is just a crab! (pun intended)!
And yet it seems hbo rather put Williams fights on their network instead of Pavlik. Hmmm interesting.
This is on point...the only flaw I see with him is that he leaves his feet at times to try to load up for the left against fighters with good footwork. Martinez could have rocked him if he timed it right. Paul needs to stop doing that because he does it with his hands at his chest...he's the perfect candidate for the check hook. The whole fight I was hoping that Sergio would not get that off because if he did he might have got Paul out of there. I seriously think Paul can handle most of them even up at 168 now as long as it's not a fighter like Dirrell or Ward that can utilize footwork because he's open to leaving his feet. The stationary fighters he can outwork just like he did Winky.
Yeah but it was still a good accomplishment. Not many guys could do that regardless of being busy. Winky is on the downside of his career though.
