    ***** MOVE last night?

Calzaghe was starting to turn it on and you could see it in Bernard's face and with his diminished workrate that he was getting tired.

Then all of a sudden, one of Calzaghe's light ass slaps gets partially blocked and then hits Bernard in his ****.

Look man, I know that **** hurts. Sometimes it hurts so bad it goes right up into your stomach and makes you feel like you're gonna puke.

But that **** didn't look that hard. Think how quickly Judah got up from getting uppercuted in the balls by Cotto who threw that **** like there was a target on Zabs **** and Cotto's hand was a laser guided rocket.

And then you got Bernard who always brags about his street crediblity, (which honestly, he's a hard mother ****er, one of the hardest I've ever heard speak), taking 3 or 4 minutes to catch his ****in breath.

Man......I have to call it. That was a ***** MOVE. I'm sorry.

At first I gave him the benefit of the doubt, then I saw the replay, and then he tried the **** again. STRAIGHT UP ***** MOVE.

Dude that hard is not supposed to pull that ****. You take your beating like a man. ****, we all know 5 years ago, this might have been a different story cuz Bernard wouldn't have been getting AS tired. But who knows and who gives a ****. I live in the present.

And the fact is that Calzaghe was turnin it on, Bernard was tired and didn't want **** to do with it, and then Bernard pulled a ***** move.

    VOTE.

Of course! I've never seen him confused before and at that point he knew he has to buy time somehow. But his performance was still an B+ and an A+++ for someone 40+.

The fake low balls only mean one thing: Hopkins was completely gased. And this is a guy who reserves energy for the later rounds. Despite his low output, he was still gased. That tells me EVERYTHING about the fact that he aged in this fight.

Hopkins does everything he can to win. He had to get a breather to give himself a better chance, even if that meant faking low blows. That's how he got here.

A ***** move? Okay, what would you guys do if you're a 43 year old who has been around the block a longgg time fighting someone so energetic like that?

    Veteran move indeed. :yep

For some of ya'll who voted no.......can you explain why?

It wasn't smart. Pullin a ***** move is what it is.

It was disrespectful, cuz if Bernard would have caught his breath, came on strong and knocked Calzaghe out it was cuz he pulled a ***** MOVE.

I'm sorry, but there ain't **** smart about bein a ***** even if it's only for a moment.

Disgraceful, im all for tactics in a fight and possibly bending the rules slight;y on the refs blind side etc, but that was pure and simple the actions of a frustrated gassed man who has spat his dummy out cos he feels hes about to lose, imo that bought him the time to comtinue the fight at the current pace, without that 4mins (was it 4?) he may of struggled .

Sure, you can call Bernard's behaviour after that low blow as crafty and strategic. But, for those defending him, would you be so quick to defend Joe if he pulled a similar trick? I highly doubt it.

It's a sketchy move at best.

If you think it was smart, maybe you oughta shop at the women's department.

    You wear a dress?

Pullin a ***** move is not smart.

    I voted no

Hopkins is extremely cagey and knows all of the tricks. Calzaghe was starting to adjust a little, becoming more relaxed and starting to really put a lot of pressure on Bernard and putting quick punches together. Hopkins, at least to me, looked a little uncomfortable with how things were going, and a little tired. After he got his time to recover, he looked like he got his second wind and the rest of the round was up for grabs.

Do I blame him for doing that? No. If he headbutted Calzaghe, opening up a huge cut, causing the fight to be stopped, would I? Yeah, but he didn't do anything illegal so I'm not going to sit here and whine about it.

    He wasn't hurt though.

That's like saying "time out" when you're getting your ass beat.

You think he could have said that **** in the pen?

He wasn't hurt, but like I mentioned, Calzaghe was putting a lot of pressure on him and making him fight. Hopkins is 43 years old, that's the last thing he wants.

    He signed the contract.

    That's life.

If he didn't want to fight he shoulda retired.

    I have no sympathy.
