It's ridiculous too man, you just can't do anything to gain the respect of a modern fight fan sometimes. People just don't like Andre Berto. Maybe for good reason. But if you weren't impressed by tonight, then that's just a little sad. That was a really sharp punch. at the very least peeps should be able to enjoy an exciting KO.

No because when PAc puts his lights out in a brutal manner. Then ESB will explode with threads how he was a bum and PAc cherry picked another Black fighter who isnt a slick boxer. Itll be crazy like that. Because Berto for all his speed is a guy who punches just as wide as Margarito going forward with minimal defense. He doesnt punch to the body. Tailor made, handpicked is the the threads that will pop out.

At least with JMM, this guy has PAcs number and it would be huge and make sense. I cant wait to see that fight, it has some meaning and closure.

Yeah his KO tonight was impressive.

I agree with you. I would give Manny full credit against Berto since he's undefeated athletics and fast. Marquez, is a fight that I may not look at it saying much since Marquez is getting up there in age and if the fight is at 147, you're going to hear me ***** everyday about it

I know, right? Instead of praising the guy for a great performance...it's "he's not ready for Pac". :bart

He's improving with each fight. He got up off the canvas against Quintana to win by stoppage. He KO's Hernandez in 1 round. After passing a test against someone like Cotto...he will be ready to get in there with anyone, at WW, IMO.

And if he does get the fight with Pac, now...SO BE IT. It's a win-win for Berto. He's still young...his career can survive a loss. He will get a boost in appeal, and make a sizeable purse. He's certainly more deserving than MARGARITO, CLOTTEY, MOSELY, and he will benefit the most.

People need to understand that this guy has a lot of speed but he was saved by the bell against Rivera some 3 years ago. He has talent and can pull out very explosive performances but youre not going to do that to anyone at the elite level. Rivera, yup thats right, saved by the bell.

The problem is Berto isnt even calling PAc out just because it makes no sense business wise. He knows he needs to build his name to be seriously considered esp. the aftermath of this division fighting one another, his best opp. was Collazo? Im no fan of Floyd but Berto is one fighter I would not accuse him of ducking because really why?? Hes seriously a fight or two away from being in the mix. For all I know hes big enough to fight Williams, thats a good start.

I agree with all of this. I think he coan do well against Cotto, but Mosley will be a nice fight. People have to realize he's still young and they're still developing him and I think he's about ready.

I was hoping Berto Would fight Brediss Prescott, Marco Antonio Barrera, Oisin ***an, Kotelnik, Salita and Malignaggi...that way, no-one can complain about him needing to step-up and fight better competition. Because that list of fighters...IS THE GAUNTLET!!!

Clottey LOST his fight, and was given the OK. Margarito was KO'd by Mosely...and got the call. At least, the guy is coming off a string of victories...most recently impressive ones. Most with any insight know Pac SHOULD win. But, if he gets the call to fight Pac, now...why the hell not? His speed, size, power, and athleticism give him a chance. Not to mention, his career should be able to rebound from a loss to an elite fighter. If, anything, he will learn from the experience.

I'd like a Pac fight with JMM at 140, but, if that does not happen...this is the next best option, IMO. Obviously, a Mayweather matchup trumps any other.

true, like I told punisher, he's developing and I think he's about ready to fight Mosley and I think he could do well against Cotto. If I was him that's the route I would take. He's probably thinking I would make a lot of money fighting Pac, but how about I beat a declining fighter with a big name and then fight Pacquiao.

I think Cotto will beat him at this point. He would break Berto down with body shots. Cotto will fight him inside and pulvurize him. I mean Collazo fought him on the inside and got the better of him and hurt him (I couldnt count how many times). Imagine what Cotto would do to him? A technically sound heavy handed puncher with a nice jab to boot?

Mosley hed beat rather easily now.

I think, if he does not get an offer from Pac, he should fight Cotto. Williams? Nah. I don't think he should "start" there. A loss to Williams would upset the applecart. And the reward does not warrant the risk.
