Yes he did, but that was to fight Holyfield for more money. Money that he would not have made for Lewis fight in 96.
ah. I thought so. Was watching a lewis doc and it seemed they construed the tyson incident to make it seem like he was ducking him.
Of course you would say that when in reality he thought Holyfield was the easier fight, trouble is he wasn't...
if Bowe really wanted to set the record straight after his Olympics loss, he would have fought Lewis. He didn't so its as simple as that to me, he had the power to make that match up. I admire what Bowe did against Holyfield and his bravery against Golota but I'll always believe he ducked Lewis. Tyson wanted no part of Lewis in the 90s, his promoter certainly didn't. I am not a Lewis fanboy but he was a danger man in the division at that time and his name wasn't exactly dynamite, high risk.
bowe ducked LL :bbb I don't care what anyone says, I am calling that a first rate duck by Bowe. As far as Tyson goes well he didn't end up ducking LL in the end so I don't think Bowe and Tyson should be lumped together. Anyone that tries to claim that Bowe didn't duck LL should automatically be horse whipped :deal
which is why imo it isn't as "blatant" a "duck" as Bowes. Add that to the fact that Tyson ended up fighting LL.
