Did boxing actually die when Floyd retired?

I really can not remember what ESB was like when Floyd retired because I never missed him or his boring fights, or his choice of opponents. Meaning, his retirement did not in any way diminish boxing for me, and in fact I think, boxing was better than before.

When he unretired and fought JMM, we are again back to being forced-feed wtih perfect cherrypicking.

I actually am starting to think that boxing is probably better if he remained retired.

And that is not the worse part. Floyd unretiring brought out the marginalized Floydettes and now, ESB's average IQ drop significantly.

during floyd's retirement, the general forum was relatively peaceful. it was the usual X's nuthuggers versus Y's nuthuggers. all changed when the floydettes/ *****s came back from the cave. they brought the worst kind of nuthuggery, praising and defending a very flawed, indefensible human being.
