That fight just shouldn't happen, Jones hasn't even defended his belt once yet. People are getting caught up in all this superfight talk.
and you can thank mexicans/chicanos for that! :thumbsup Just look at the FOTY candidates so far... Marquez-Concepcion Rios-Acosta Morales-Maidana Ortiz-Berto Salido-Lopez :bbb:freddy

Well, thanks for reminding me why I hate 95% of MMA, sloppy ass standup striking for a minute tops and then 4 minutes of wrestling and BJJ.
I happened to have a few recording buddies of mine over at the home studio as this fight was on (Berto-Ortiz). none of them boxing fans to begin with, several of them ufc fans. they were all wilin out during the fight and a couple said it was the best fight they've ever seen hahaha seems like this fight had a similar impact on others who were either non fans or casual fans, since then I've been schooling a couple of them on sweet science and they look to be future boxing fans
The thing is, boxing has to sustain the momentum it has going now in order to keep the new people who are tuning in interested. UFC works like clockwork. There's a new event every 3 weeks. As soon as one ends, they are already hyping up the next one to the high heavens. No lie. Within an hour of an event ending, they have changed their whole Facebook layout from the event that just ended, to the next one coming up. UFC has a routine that they stick to and it keeps the fans coming back because there is never any lull at all that allows them to potentially lose interest. Sure, 90% of UFC is a hype job and a made-up facade (ie. not real), but still, it's exciting and it keeps the fans coming back.
When that happened didn't you feel like you accomplished something? lol, when my friends got into it I gave them a full boxing lesson; I could hold a whole class on it
Na.... it's just the same as it always is. The real problem was the was "there's 157 channels and nothing on"
