    I recorded it on Virgin Media and didn't miss a thing, there were three shows on from midnight onwards and I just recorded all three. Simple, though if in doubt manual record is a good option too.

    Wtf is manual record? I just search the programmes and press the REC button, is this not the right thing to do?

    It has never affected me yet, but I normally don't record late shows, just watch the re-run the next day.

    Go to options on sky+, go to manual record, select channel number, start & end time (put the end time 30-60mins after the normal end time), press yellow to add to the planner... schoolboy stuff.
