Did Bradley make the right decision re-signing with Top Rank?

After reading about this and seeing what Bradley had to say, I say he made the right decision. If he stays with Top Rank, he has a guaranteed fight with Pacquiao. That's a winnable fight. If he wins it with no controversy, he sets himself up to be the biggest star on HBO. He'll get a major push from the network. And without Merchant around, he won't have any commentators undermining his performances.

If he went with GBP, there's no guarantee he would get a fight with Mayweather. Even if could get that fight, he'd probably lose. Furthermore, there's more fighters he'd have to compete with on Showtime for super star status.

The fight always appears to get cheated no matter who the promoter is. I thought Oscar would be honest, but .......................

Short term: yes, as he gets a good payday against Pacquiao.

Long term: probably not as he won't get to fight anyone from GBP's stable as long as he's under contract with TR, and TR's roster at 147 is looking a little thin at the moment.

If thats what it took to get the Manny fight then of course it is. Lets be honest, he hasn't exactly been mistreated by Top Rank.

He could go to Golden Boy, but I don't think there is more money there. He has already had two big money fights with Pacman and Marquez. Now he can do rematches with both of those guys and bank another 10 million. For a guy with Bradley's drawing power, that is great money. I enjoy his fights, but he won't bring a lot of excitement in the ring to the casual fan. He also doesn't seem to have the over the top personality to bring in the fans through promotion.

Mayweather is the only fight bringing a big payday if he goes to the other side. I really doubt that he would get much more fighting Mayweather than the Pacman fight (he isn't a big enough draw).

I wish he would have left. I think there are more interesting fights on the other side. But financially, I don't think there is more money on the other side.

He's big fish in a small pond and he likes it like that. That Showtime ocean might be a little to big for him. Nothing but sharks and killer whales roaming in those waters.

His heart is not as big as people think it is. Right now he is a big fish in a small pond and he likes it like that. That Showtime ocean is too big and there's nothing but great white sharks and killer whales roaming in those waters.

    What?

Who besides Floyd, Pac and maybe Thurman give Bradley the business at WW? Ghost? Maidana? Please tell me you don't think Broner would beat him.

At 140 there's Garcia and Lucas -- both interesting fights but I'd favor Bradley over Lucas and...well, it's hard to pick against Garcia at 140.

Maidana and Porter will get in his ass and he done already ducked Khan. I'll even wager that Karass will serve him up.

Yes he did. He's getting a rematch with Pacquiao and could still get fights with the likes of Marquez, Provodnikov and others. Why the hell would he leave when Arum got him this far anyway?, it's not like GBP has better offers.
