Dive. He was intimidated as ****, Tyson scared him anyways, and the fact he was taking a dive made tore his ****ing machismo out his ass. Even during the ring walk he looked like man walking the damn plank.
True.... But the fight with Peter McNeeley was still a PPV farce one way or another...... So many people were fooled by Tyson's return in 1995.... I knew Tyson would be rusty and faded early in his comeback.... And I also knew that McNeeley was still a bum / pug who'd be slaughtered..... SR.BILLARDO:deal
Can't believe this thread came back up. Seldon had everything that was needed to be a good champion except heart. Once he got hit, he was ready to quit. The guy had an intimidating physique, power, speed, and great boxing ability. His chin may not have been great, but a lot of his knockoouts were just because he didn't want to take the punches, not because he was really hurt. He was a quitter. He could have been a very good champion if he wanted to be.
It wouldn't surprise me considering that King was (If not still is) known to pay off/extort opponents to take dives against his fighters.
it looked more like genuine fear on Seldon's part he didn't want anything to do with Tyson that night ... which is despicable and shameful considering that he was the champion that fight
he had horrible timing on his flop.... he could at least waited for an obviously solid punch to land and just gradually sink to the floor. Thats much more believable than doing a superman in the air from a glancing hook...
Well Tyson was fresh from Prison and his street cred was at an all time high. Seldon was the epitome of scared. He went down as soon as possible to avoid damage. But no that version of Tyson was already out of his prime. He was throwing single shots at a time!
This version of Tyson was sending shockwaves of terror throughout the division and was even more menacing than before
