Did Bryan Vera just earn a shot at Pavlik?

    I thought Vera beat Mora pretty convincingly, and unlike some, I was not surprised.

    Pavlik is moving to 168 where Vera has fought many times. Pavlik still needs a dance partner for May 7th. Under the circumstances, and in light of Vera's win tonight, is Pavlik/Vera an acceptable comeback fight?

    Pavlik will destroy him, its a acceptable comeback confidence builder imo.

    This ain't going to help Pavlik cause at 168 pounds you got top fighters like Ward and Bute that are real good very skill fighters. If Pavlik wants to face and beat those fighters, then he needs a good test vs fighters like lets say Wright? or Dirrell? Facing Vera is useless.

    "Earn" a shot at Pavlik?

    I like Pavlik but cmon there is no road that leads to him at this juncture in his career. Right now anyone is suitable for his comeback fight.

    perfect comeback opponent. KO for Pavlik and confidence booster, next fight could be a borderline top 10 guy and then back at championship fight which he'll probably lose unless he makes it back to middleweight or gets to Stieglitz first.

    Good win by Vera, but Pavlik would beat him easily. Good matchup for Pavlik.

    i'd like to see this fight as KP's comeback. vera is def gritty and can frustrate KP.

    If Pavlik is going to fight at 168 I'd like to see him take on a 168 pounder for his comeback fight - not an inflated Vera.

    I dont think Pavlik fights again , from what I see of the man there is no way he makes 160 in a healthy way , reminds me of Hatton a little.
