No one has mentioned the fact that ethically Team Pavlik owes Vera a little something.

Style makes fights in which i think Pavlik vs Vera is a mismatch in Pavlik's favor in which is why boo likes this fight. And for real what does beating a 1 dimensional club fighter in Vera do for Pavlik confident? Do any of you realize that Pavlik 2 losses came from slick fighters????? I still say Pavlik vs Wright makes the perfect since many thinks Wright is a done fighter. Both Pavlik and Wright are promoted by Arum so it makes the perfect sense. Boo will say (Wright had his chance but never try to get a fight with Pavlik) <<<But Wright years ago had said he'll fight Pavlik in Pavlik backyard and accept 60/40 in Pavlik favor.

Yes. Good fight. Vera might bring the upset.

Why not. It's not like Pavlik wasn't going to fight Vera in November if Pavlik hadn't ended up in Betty Ford.

Not as much as they owe Mora, frankly.

The Mora fight disappeared during a contract dispute between Team Pavlik and Top Rank. Mora claimed he had a signed contract, but when Teddy Atlas challenged him to produce one, Mora back pedaled.

Mora just got his ass handed to him by Vera. Pavlik wants to fight at 168, a division Vera has visited many times. Mora should not venture above 160.

Pavlik/Mora never made much sense. Now it makes no sense at all.

I want to see Mora unconcious so i think Pavlik has a good chance of making that happen. If Vera could land on him i think Pavlik could too. Even though the style does not suit Pavlik.

I thought Mora said he was not ready for Pavlik previously or something about pricing himself out. Its rare to see a challenger duck the champion but i think thats what happened in this one.

I won't believe Pavlik with fight again unless i see him in the ring. Pavlik-Vera would be a good one so would Pavlik-Mora, but i think theyd rather put him in with a aggressive type.

I won some Vcash on Vera. :thumbsup

As far as a fight with Pavlik, I'd guess Arum will stick one of his own guys in there. That's what he likes to do.

On the other hand, if he thinks someone would be a better draw and might fight cheap, who knows?

    Possible options:

Vera - Could use the $$$ and the exposure, not signed with big promoter

Sakio Bika - Name fighter, not signed with big promoter, nothing scheduled, low KO%, losses to Ward, Bute, Mendy, Calz, Soliman

Jesse Brinkley - Name fighter, not signed with big promoter, nothing scheduled, low KO%,Bute, Mora, Gomez, Spina, Reid

Andrade is a GBP fighter, Dirrell isn't signed with anyone big, but could derail Pavlik in this comeback, so these two won't happen.

Bad fight for Pavlik considering where he is in his career. Vera is NOT the guy you "find out about yourself" with. You better be active and comfortable in there. Kelly has some questions to answer.

Down the line after a few tune ups though? GREAT fight. I am a die hard Vera fan, but he would most likely go to sleep against 80% of the Taylor/Pavlik version of Kelly.

You're saying Pavlik could fight Vera after a few tune ups? Christ almighty!! Vera is a tune up, and I will be extremely disappointed if KP doesn't fight someone at least as good as Vera. I happened to like Vera, but let's face it, he is a fighter with the minimum exceptable skill level.

Good comeback fight for Kelly... should draw a crowd right? It's quite obvious that Pavlik destroys him though so i don't know. It's a bit troubling, because Vera is very brave and Pavlik is too strong... so i would be worried about Vera getting seriously hurt. And i am NOT joking

He earned a payday against Pavlik.
