douglas was brilliant, but Tyson was terrible.
There was no purposeful head movement and he was loading up one punch at a time all night.
Tyson would just walk in, throw a big left hook and clinch.
But this is what you get when you fire your training team, Tyson mustve thought he did it all on his own all those early years.
He had a style and used set ups that needed to be constantly drilled and no trainer after rooney ever really knew what they were doing with him.
Douglas was very dominant but at his best I think Tyson would cut through him eventually. He couldn't really do much worse.

It was simply douglas at his absolute best and Tyson at his worst

Tyson still doesn't talk about or respect the work Kevin Rooney did with him.

A big part of it was the fact that Tyson's corner was utterly incompetent.

He was great for one night the same way Bowe was great for one night vs Holyfield. Douglas and Bowe are at the same level to me.

well Douglas never fought that way before nor after so I think he was encouraged with his success and ability to land and after getting up in the 8th and saw Tyson starting to fizzle so it was a combination of both

Douglas pulls out his best performance ever while Tyson underestimates him and under-performs. Not unlike Spinks/Ali I in a way.

A combination of Buster fighting out of his skin for one night and Tyson putting on,up to that date, the worst performance of his career.

Douglas had the perfect style, gameplan and ability to beat Tyson. Douglas was the type of personality who could put 100 percent in very often and usually put in 10 percent. His run to the title is also very good and ignored.

Tyson wasn't 100 percent no but he was also largely dominated. Even if he showed up 100 percent a 100 percent Douglas gives him serious issues and maybe still beats him.

I feel I should point out when you're right as we disagree so much
