I guess Bute's management is trying to duck Pavlik now???
If Bute can make a lot of money while waiting for a worthy opponent good for him. Interbox got screwed big time few years ago in a fight in Germany (Lucas vs Beyer). Don't blame them now for taking their time.

Bute is only 31. Plenty of times to fight every single SMW super6 or not. But so far... Kessler went the easy way, far from Bute. Pavlik well... seems lost between a rehab center and the closest liquor store.

For november... who's next! Glen Johnson?

    Or a moron like The_President. :D

    Froch took the toughest route.

Bute is on the opposite side and took the easy route.

No, but that doesn't mean I will say that they would have joined given the opportunity.

Everyone had a reason for joining, their promoters were making money but also personal reasons:

Ward and Dirrell were both prospects looking to have big coming out parties and establish themselves as the class of the division.

Mikkel Kessler was probably thinking Hall of Fame with this tourney clearing up any damage the loss to Calzaghe had.

Arthur Abraham was trying to expand his brand into the states.

Froch wanted to escape the shadow of Calzaghe.

and Jermain Taylor wanted to jump start his deflating career.

What would have been Bute's motivation. He is essentially in the Arturo Gatti seat, he has an easy life in Montreal, fighting scrubs for a nice payday and getting onto Showtime every once in a while.

LOL, Bute is almost exactly in the same situation as Dirrell and Ward. I say almost because both Ward and Direll are much stronger contenders then Bute based on who they've both fought, and who Bute hasn't.
    Bute's a bum in the making.:yep

    Ward yes. Dirrell no.
Dirrell has only one win that could rival any of Bute's defenses.

The poll is fixed, no choices, except those against him. SOB Ward refused to allow Bute to fight in his personal tournament. Ward always gets his way, others have to travel thousands of miles while Ward does not. Ward will never allow a fight with Bute to happen, even in his own home town with his personal referee, judges, etc.

    No rival. Better than.

Only the second Andrade win can rival Dirrell's best win.

And Bute has absolutely nothing that comes remotely clsoe to Ward, Kessler, nor Froch's best wins.

Yeah, Ward isn't much better that Bute when it comes to being protected..

But I would not support either fighter in a discussion about who is more protected because so far these two are the most protected fighters in the division.

Only Sven Ottke was that protected.
