That's just how Joe punches, he'd never be able to let off his flurries fighting with one-two-hook's like Kelly Pavlik.

Most people don't like the fact that his other assets make up for his punching style, and he keeps beating people.

 

That fight aside I do think Joe should have been pulled up more about his cuffing in previous fights. It was really bad at times which is how he earned his reputation as a slapper.

He did however, beat him. And beat him well despite getting sucked into the old man's fight...
