No doubt Erdei did have claim to being the linear champ, but The Ring mag changed the rules years ago for Jones Jnr. So on paper Calzaghe was the recognised champ. As said Erdei had claim but later moved up to CW. I would guess when he relinquished his world title and moved up a new linage would have started which would lead Hopkins to be world champ, and Calzaghe has already beaten him :hi:
