I think so. He was offered close to 1 million to fight Campbell and a chance to get 3 titles in one fight and turned it down.

I am extremely hesitant to say a fighter is ducking another one. In this case, I think it was a clear case.

    thoughts?

I was off with the 1 million

    Casa was offered $610,000.00

The reason is Casa should remathc Campbell is that Nate has 3 titles, and Casa has none. Instead Casa is fighting JMM who is coming off a loss, has never fought at lightweight, and has 0 titles.

And who knows how much Casa is making on Saturday? If its more than $610,000.00 i'll give him a pass.

    No.

He's already but Campbell so what does he have to prove?

JMM is a better fighter than Campbell anyway, he clearly doesn't care about the titles but just wants the big fights.

I gotta agree with Montero on this one. JMM is a bigger name and Casa already beat Campbell once. If he beats JMM it's another big name on his resume'. If he beats Campbell it's just another win over a guy he beat once before.

Titles probably aren't first and foremost in Casa's mind right now anyway. Getting unfairly stripped of the title he won by beating Chico cost him about a year.

No, Joel already beat Nate. Doesn't matter if he is or not. It's like a one night stand "Been there, done that."

    Yes!

He openly declared in his interviews that he is not fighting Campbell again. What more do we need? It came out of his own mouth.

Does it matter? He's got nothing to prove.
    He's already beaten Nate.

Lets face it, Casa is at the end of his carrier. He's fading. He's got alot of mileage on that body. Every fight from here on out has to considered carefully, and be for something other than. "Sure, I'll fight him again just to keep bragging rights".

I can understand your take on it, but, does he really need to fight Nate again?

Not right now. But if Casa beats JMM and Campbell beats Guzman. Then I think both of them should fight again.

Good point however Campbell has worked his way back to the top since his defeat to Casa. In the process beat the guy who many considered to be the best lightweight in the world(Juan Diaz). Does he NEED to fight Campbell? No, but it would be an excellent fight and probably considering what I've stated would also be the most credible fight.....This very well may happen in the future as I see both winning their upcoming matchups. On that note I see Campbell having an easier time with Guzman and Casa having a very difficult time with Marquez

Since he is still active and fighting and he is the present Ring belt holder . . . he needs to fight the other guy who's holding two other belts . . . otherwise he should retire or give up the belt.

Does it matter? Of course it does . . . because this is what separate the true title holders from a paper champ.

Well that could change after the JMM fight . . . if he loses . . . then he doesn't have to fight anybody anymore. :deal

He has alot to prove. Sure he beat CAmpbell back then, but who is better today? Nate thinks he would knock the **** out of Casa today, and Casa doesn't seem to want to prove him wrong, even though he would ahve a shitload to gain from it.

What happened then is in the history books. On Jan 25th. 2003, Casa was the better fighter. But this is September 10th, 2008, and alot has happened since. Who would win a fight today? Rematches are not meaningless. Beating someone once and then never rematching them does not automatically mean you are forever better than them.

Nothing to gain from unifying the ring title ith the WBA, WBO, and IBF titles? I disagree.

Casa does have a point....600,000 is not much for a champion
