No he wasnt ,George Kimball,George Plimpton,did more, Howard Cohen never publicly took a stance on Ali's draft or the Viet Nam war, neither did he do so in his memoirs .In his later years Cohen was often blind drunk whilst working.He made his name off of MUHAMMAD ALI, but did nothing concrete for him in return.

 

Ali was not allowed to box for nearly 4 years ,had his boxing licence withdrawn and his passport cancelled.That is being exiled from boxing and disallowed from practising his means of livelihood.

I’m a huge Ali fan...but when he was young he was racist lol. He would later change his views on things like segregation.
