He took a dive clearly, it was obvious that they were not going to take points for holding, yet they were taking points for hitting on the belt line, Castillo figured why go through more **** if the Ref is not going to be un biased? and I agree especially when you consider he may lose his entire purse.
Hatton should change his last name to Ruiz

For the last godamm time, I did not see the fight and posted this 20 seconds after I heard people in the chatroom insinuating that he took a dive, or could get up, etc. I only posted to see what the **** was going on.

when a fighter is broke there is no telling what an extra 100,000 would make you do. You remeber the time mccall was to take a dive and was crying in the ring. boxing is a shady sport. castillo took a dive:admin

come down brits, i could hardly believe this outcome so early in the fight if I hadnt seen it myself. It was kind of strange to see JLC dropped for the first time in his career. I think JLC is definitely done, whether he needs the money or not I dont want to see him fighting any other elite fighters. Its obvious the man has been too through many wars. I dont think he took a dive, but maybe he just didnt want to get up. I gave Hatton credit before the fight, he is a great fighter.

Two fight ago, he beat up on a fighter that was more shot than him (Corrales)! In Corrales's last fight, he took a one sided beating at the hands of Clottey. I could care less who beat him (JLC), whether it was Hatton or Holt. I give Hatton respect all the time. But it was evident that Castillo just didnt have it tonight, his body gave out on him. He has been in one too many wars. ANybody who has seen 4 or 5 Castillo fights know, that it should have taken a lot more than that shot to drop and take out Castillo.

**** how stupid are you. Think about what you just wrote.. what the **** does winning the fight have to do with getting his purse? How would him winning change the legal ramifacations of the lawsuit pending against him.

They were trying to hold the purse in escrow against a future judgement against Castillo.. winning or losing had nothing to do with it.

It didn't happen anyhow. Castillo had no monetary interest in winning or losing this fight, especially since he didn't seem all that interested in fighting in this one, I'm sure future fights weren't on his mind as well.

No way it was a dive, you could see and hear the power in the shot, and it was in the right spot. Ive heard a good body punch can be extremely hard to get up from as the pain spreads all around the body.

Still think Bhops was a bit too weak against Hoya.

I agree with this to an extent--I think after the point deduction and all the holding Huggy Bear Hatton was doing made Castillo quit. I think Ricky is a sham and he must train under Ruiz--This is only the 3rd or 4th Hatton fight I have watched and he gets away with more holding than ANYONE I have ever seen at a championship level.

What I don't get is WHY??? Hatton seems to have all the tools that all the holding should not be needed. He has quick hands, good footwork, good power and he can throw combos like a demon--so what's with the RUIZ act???
