I won't say it would have been physically impossible for him to get up. It looked like it to me, but I'm not in his body. He was definitely hurting bad, and if he did get to his feet he would have just gotten pummelled and finished worse. If he did make and attempt and then said "F' this", I still wouldn't call it a "dive".

Taking a dive is throwing a fight, which obviously didn't happen. He was ruined by that shot. Whether he was unable to get up due to paralyzing pain, or was in enough pain (or psychologically broken) to just take the count is inconsequential. It's a legit win, either way.

    Stupid question, really.

Anyone saying it was a dive should **** off and watch WWE. It was a bang on the money liver shot that simply takes the air out of you. Bob Arum said it was one of the best body shots he has ever seen for perfect placement etc.

Every ex pro has said it was a perfect shot and yet here on ESB we have the usual muppets saying it was a dive or he could easily have got up.

You really are watching the wrong sport.

yea well of course he would take a dive,he's an obvious canditate.he has no history of being a warrior with any kind of heart and has never ever came through any wars he's been pampered and only had easy fights,so he was never ever battle hardened.it was obvious he was the kind of fighter who had so little pride that he wouldn't mind being remembered being down on one knee fiegning excrutiating pain to the whole world. yea of course jose luis castillo took a dive,do you know nothing about the man?
