However, I'm pretty positive you made comments about how Hopkins performance against Pavlik didn't do much to Calzaghe's resume - I don't think the forum goes back far enough with "previous posts from this user", and it'd take me all day to find the thread - yet I'm fairly positive I remember discussing this with you at least once.
Against Cunningham perhaps, as Cunningham was seen as the best guy for him to fight at cruiser. I think it would be a little far fetched to suggest beating Jonothon Banks made a big difference.
the biggest achievement to dawson`s resume that could of happened would of been a win over calzaghe. dawson should of hounded him for that fight to happen.
on paper it got better but for those who saw Dawson vs Adamek they know that it wasn't really that great a win. I'm not a Dawson hater at all, I like him, but I thought Adamek looked like a clubfighter on that night and Dawson looked like a journeyman. It was a sloppy fight.
How can you say that. Calzaghe was about 10 times more dominant against Lacy than Taylor was. Watch those fights back to back and you will say "Damn Calzaghe would take Taylor to school" To top it off Taylor fought a post-op Lacy. Calzaghe fought Lacy at his best.
10 times more dominant? Lacy won 1 round against Taylor, arguably. Lacy won 0 against Calzaghe, but Joe did get a point taken off for fouls. Also against Hopkins, both men performed equally. If anything, these fights show that Calzaghe and Taylor are on a similar level (ie: bad examples to use if you're hyping Joe).
Taylor is not on Calzaghe's level. I can't believe this is even up for debate. Calzaghe is much better than Taylor.
