Did chris byrd tell the ref to stop the fight?

    Byrd probably should have taken a stab at cruiser instead of going all the way down to 175. Doubt it would have made difference, but it might have.

    I can see that. I was a Byrd fan for a while, but the last few years his style started grating on me. Anyone who didn't feel a little bad for him on Friday though is just heartless.

    I really don't think that he changed his style. I think it was more due to his age and other boxers figuring him out. But it felt like going to somebody's funeral watching him go out like that, just a couple of days before the fight I was watching the fight science episode that he was on and it shows you what a humble person he was. I wish we had more boxers like that.
