Did Collazo actually say he was quitting at any point?

Going back to my MAIN point. If that was THRUMAN who did that during the same round, they would have said, oh it goes to the cards, the DOCTOR says he can't see and it must be stopped.

...except the doctor never initiated the stoppage of the contest.

Collazo quit. Once his corner asked him,"Do you want us to stop the fight?" And Collazo said, "It's up to yall." That ends the debate. No fighter in the history of boxing that wanted to continue would've given that answer.

Yeah but they would have sent a Doctor over to look at it if it was Thurman... Haymon's PBC is a farce. You are lying to yourself if you think they would have not gone to cards if Thurman was in that situation.

That's a bunch of supposition. :conf

Alleging that a doctor would have been "sent over" to facilitate a self-serving fighter-initiated stoppage to influence the outcome and induce a technical decision when the cut wasn't bad enough to warrant cessation is a big charge, and you're making it pretty blithely. I dislike and mistrust Haymon as much as the next boxing fan but you're living up to your handle in an unflattering way.

He stated that if he had of come out of his corner he would have taken some unnecessary shots to his eye. Ain't that a blimp.

He earned his drug money for the night, didn't see any point in seeing out the 12 rounds

Exactly, neither the ref nor dr. stopped the fight. Collazo's corner stopped it under Collazo's recommendation, he surrendered. People on here are fools, technical decision.

It would open the door to many 'I can't see' scorecards in the future.

    Collazo quit.

The Flanegan - Zapeda fight should have been a TD though imo.

I thought it was a punch too.

Refs don't always get it right.

Like Lewis Klitschko....heads come TOGETHER, Oh R, blood gushing.
Though to his credit, and Thurman credit...targeting the effected areas got the KOs.

    I thought he clearly said

"Im gonna stop it, you want me to stop it"

    "Yeah, I can't see, there's no point"

I didn't hear him say "its up to you"
