I dont know if he got robbed, but it was a close fight and could have gone eitther way depending on scoring methods. Ricky was applying more 'pressure' the whole figh (as he always does) but weather you give him points for that alone or look for good scoring punches is the key. Collazo landed cleaner and better shots most of the fight, even in the rounds that went to Hatton. Hatons KD in rnd 1 leaves is something to ask questions about too. If you are going to say that Collazo didnt knock Hatton down in round 12, then you can definitely say that Hatton didnt knock Collazo down. He was just caught off balance. I am prepared to say that that can be regarded as a 'flash KD', but then not awarding Collazo the KD when he clearly hurt Hatton and sent him to the floor is a rort.

I can't remember, but I do remember thinking that Collazo won that fight. And if you can't dominate Collazo you will not fare well against the elite welters,

I scored the fight a draw based on the first round KD to Hatton.

Close, but I don't know if he would have went down if Collazo didn't push him. Ricky was hurt though. It is a judgement call.

he was CLEARLY hurt bad but he never hit the ground, if he was hurt bad enough to fall, he would not have even had energy to stand or hold on to collazo

thanks for that link, ive been wanting to rewatch that round ever since that day. :good

Hatton is in big trouble come next saturday. im predicting Floyd by tko around the 10th. easy money. :deal

edit: as far as if that was a knockdown, i would say no but i would understand if people still gave Collazo 10-8 for that last round.

The question is why the ref didn't deduct a point from Ricky in the 12th.

yeah it was a KD, Hatton was wobbly and tried to pull his usual holding **** but missed and fell over.
I thought Hatton lost that fight, and that's without deducting points for excessive hugging and holding.
