Shame about T-Rex. Talented guy, but Golota hurt him badly in their fight. If he could've somehow kept his weight down, he coulda been a contender. Remember, he did knock Maskaev out in sudden fashion.
I was at the Golota-Sanders fight. Actually ran into Roger Bloodworth and had a 20 minute conversation. Sanders was in his prime, but that fight should have been stopped. It was slaughter. ****in guy is blind for life, probably depressed, and has nothing to live for except snacks. Golota ****ed up Bowe badly too...
That was undoubtedly a brutal fight. Round 2 was amazing, Sanders had his eye ripped open but came back and had Golota on the ropes. Vicious. I don't know that T-Rex is "depressed." On the contrary he seems like a fun-loving, happy dude. He's huge, no doubt about it, but hopefully can lead a decent life after boxing, which probably should happen soon.
If being a punching bag for 8 rounds constitutes a victory then yes Sanders won. He seriously needs to hang 'em up and retire.
