If course it did. The guy had to have had major problems breathing. The body shots didn't help either. Those things directly resulted in him not winning that fight.

of course, the less oxygen to your muscles, the quicker they become fatigued.

Juan Manuel Marquez was in worse condition against Manny in their first fight, and he finished strong.

Cotto lost because he was given a beating.

Body shots take your legs from you.

The blood...the beating...the movement...all took their toll. Wasn't one thing.

I think the main point in this game is to beat on your opponent until he gives up. Blood, cuts, bruises, there all part of getting beatup. No **** it affected his outcome are you serious?

Lol! So true....let's make no mistake though. Cotto is a better fighter than AM. Buts its not what you can give its what you can take and I'm hard pressed to think of anybody fighting today that can take the kind of beating Margarito can and keep on coming. Guys a f'n animal!!!

And why did he has a bloody nose..?

Because Margo smashed him in the face and inflicted damage..and beat him up

The same can happen in the rematch..

What is the point in this topic..?

Those body shots took a huge toll. I believe his nose was broken. He couldn't keep his hands up any longer due to the body shots. Seconds is an eternity in boxing so who knows if Cotto wasn't going to get up the second time and possibly hang on until the bell. The towel being thrown in ended the fight not Cotto quiting. I will never buy that he quit due to getting up and the ref did not look like he was going to stop the fight. I know, I am reaching.

I dont believe so. Cottos constent moving around non stop like he was Ray Leonard took a toll along with all of Margaritos body punches and uppercuts. Margarito just gave him a beating the last 5 rounds.
