Did Cotto dent the granite chin? / Was Margo cheating?

I just asked this is another thread, how exactly does the plaster work? How did Naseem feel that the wraps were hard, if the plaster was still wet and would harden later in the fight? Has anyone loaded their wraps before to know exactly how this works?

 

1)Don't think Cotto had nothing to do with Mosley's victory. It was all about having the correct fight plan. Margarito has always been easy to hit. Mosley took his ability to hit back by staying close, holding, pushing, etc... PERFECT PLAN.
2) Margarito didn't cheat...... He got caught before!!! Very possible he did cheat against Cotto.
3) Trinidad lost at 160 and above. Never @ 154 or less. They made him re-wrap for one fight. They said his hand wrapping were "CONTROVERSIAL" Very different to getting caught with plaster inside your gloves.

 

I can tell you: When a person fractures a bone they put a cast on. The cast is made of plaster. The first thing you do is put a soft wrapping around the affected limb. Then you get the plaster wet and apply it on top of the first wrapping. Thats how casts have that soft thing inside but are rock hard outside. NOW IMAGINE THAT **** INSIDE A BOXING GLOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I think Mosley simply has a bigger punch than Cotto. Especially upstairs. Cotto didn't use his biggest strengh and go to the body against Margarito. Mosley went to the body religiously and landed some monster shots from the git.

Kill the body and the head will die.

 

Nassem went there to mess with Margarito's head like he did to Trinidad.this time he got really lucky. He got a real cheater!!!

 

This theory is really more mental than physical. Margo actually was more confident in taking punches this time, and it cost him. A chin will always be the same.

 

You might be right. But its hard to hit hard when you are back pedaling. The big difference on this fight was Mosley took the ability to hit back away from Margarito. Mosley moved forward, pushed, grabbed, He did what he need it to do. Plus, Margarito's gloves were not loaded for this fight.

 

No, Mosley dented Margarito's chin. Then, he knocked him out.

 

Sorry, I meant he was able to cheat during this fight because he got caught before the fight started.

I don't know if margo was cheating because the boxing commissioner watches the hands get taped. If true, margo and his corner should be banned and the boxing commissioner should be fired. I do know one thing though and that it has already been proven that shane-a fighter i used to like-is an already proven liar and cheat. We know that shane was taking the cream and epo injections from at least july 26 of 03 up until the de la hoya fight(Sep. 03). When the story broke in sep 07 shane claimed he didn't know what he was taking backing in 03. When the grand jury testimoney came out in dec 08 it states that under questioning mosley admitted to taking the cream and epo injections. So we now know for a month that shane was a cheat in 03 and has publically lied about it for over a year. I will give shane credit for having the common sense to tell the grand jury the truth because perjury can result in prison time. It' a damn shame shane, because i always considered you a true warrior. Your no better than Clemens, bonds or all the other athletes who have decided that money is more important than pricipal.

 

Indeed, that was the overriding element. ^ Other factors are significant, and yes, the damage Margarito has sustained over the years has taken a blatant toll.
